Eörs Szathmary elected to the National Academy of Sciences

We cordially congratulate Eörs Szathmary to the outstanding achievement of becoming an international member of the US National Academy of Sciences.

The National Academy of Sciences announced on April 28th, 2026, the election of 120 members and 25 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.

Those elected today bring the total number of active members to 2,705 and the total number of international members to 557. International members are members of the Academy with citizenship outside the United States.
